The Ministry of the Interior has issued a strong warning to the public against a fraudulent recruitment message circulating on social media, which falsely claims to offer opportunities to join the Ghana Security Services through an online “Data Gathering Form.”

In a press release dated June 3, 2025, the Ministry stated that the message, which includes a Google Form link with a submission deadline of 10 June, is “false and unauthorised.”

The Ministry said it had not sanctioned any recruitment process via a Google Form and warned the public against engaging with the link provided in the scam message.

“The Ministry of the Interior has not authorised any individual, group, or third-party platform or provided Google Form link to conduct recruitment or collect data on its behalf,” the statement emphasised.

The Ministry reiterated that all official recruitment exercises for Ghana’s Security Services are announced only through the national dailies, and not via third-party digital forms. It cautioned the public that interacting with the link or providing personal information could expose individuals to cybercrimes such as identity theft or financial fraud.

“No recruitment is conducted via Google Forms or similar platforms,” the release stressed, urging the public to treat the circulating message with the utmost suspicion.

To curb the spread of such disinformation and protect unsuspecting citizens, the Ministry encouraged Ghanaians to report any suspicious activities through its official channels, including its website, social media handles, and the Public Affairs and Communications Unit.

The statement concluded by assuring the public of the Ministry’s continued commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring internal security across the country.
