Unity Cup: Otto Addo Names Black Stars Squad

Head coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Otto Addo, has released the squad for the Nigeria game which is set to take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

The squad include, Lawrence Ati-Zigi (St. Gallen), Benjamin Asare (Accra Hearts of Oak SC), Joseph Tetteh Anang (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Gideon Mensah (Bordeaux), Ebenezer Annan (Red Star Belgrade), Mohammed Salisu (AS Monaco), Stephan Ambrosius (St. Gallen), Aaron Essel, (North Texas SC), Razak Simpson (Nations FC).

Also, Mamudu Kamaradini (Medeama SC), Caleb Yirenkyi (FC Nordsjælland), Abdul Salis Samed (Sunderland), Ibrahim Sulemana (Atalanta Bergamo), Abu Francis (Cecle Brugge), Majeed Ashimeru (Anderlecht), Abdul Aziz Issah (Barcelona Atletic), Lawrence Agyekum (Cercle Brugge), Christopher Baah Bonsu (Genk) are selected to be part of the squad.

In attack, we have Jordan Ayew (Leicester City), Thomas-Asante (Coventry CIty), Felix Afena Gyan (Juventus Nex Gen), Kwame Poku (Asante Kotoko), Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini (Union Saint Gilloise).

The Black Stars are competing in a four-nation tournament later this month, with a high-profile semi-final clash against long-time West African rivals Nigeria scheduled for May 28, 2025, at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:00 GMT.

The winner of that match will progress to the final on May 31, 2025, where they will meet the victor of the other semi-final between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, with the final set to kick off at 12:30 GMT.
