A Communications Team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel Aborbi, popularly known as Aban, has described the eight-year leadership of former President Akufo-Addo as a waste.

Speaking during a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Thursday, February 13, 2025, Aborbi criticized Akufo-Addo’s performance, calling it abysmal.

“Ghanaians will never acknowledge Akufo-Addo’s administration,” he stated.

He further accused the former president of nepotism, wasteful spending, and mismanagement.

“No president in Ghana’s Fourth Republic has awarded contracts to his family members, traveled with his own chair, or wasted the country’s resources on building a National Cathedral like Akufo-Addo,” he alleged.

Aborbi also claimed that corruption under Akufo-Addo’s leadership was unprecedented in Ghana’s history.

“Akufo-Addo has taken Ghana fifty years backwards,” he declared.
