Ghana Premier League clubs have committed to ensure violent clashes witnessed at the Nsoatreman FC- Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC league game aren’t repeated.

In a related development, six individuals including Nsoatreman FC’s Executive Chairman Ignatius Baffour Awuah have been arrested in connection with Pooley’s death.

The clubs agreed to these enhanced security protocols after an emergency meeting with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the association’s headquarters.

This is the latest round of meetings involving the GFA and league representatives; On Wednesday, February 5, members of the GFA Executive Council and Kotoko officials met with the Inspector General of Police, George Dampare.

According to GFA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong who spoke after meeting the IGP, the GFA held a meeting via Zoom with representatives from the Access Bank Division One League and have planned to meet supporter groups of Ghana League clubs on Friday, February 7.
