The Chief Executive Officer for Educate Africa Institute (EAI), William Boadi has raised concerns about academic infractions in Ghana.

In an interview with Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’ show on Thursday, 15th August 2024, Mr. Boadi stated that, there are a whole lot of academic infractions confronting Ghana’s educational system which needs to be tackled by Ghanaian leaders.

“A country over sixty years since independence still have schools under trees, the livelihood of both teaching and non- teaching staff is in limbo, there are tertiary institutions with hostel deficits. These challenges equally needs the attention of our leaders rather than scraping fees for first-year university students” he indicated.

Mr. Boadi added that, there should be practical knowledge in Ghana’s educational structures.

“There is the need to introduce entrepreneurship skills and financial support for students after their graduation to enhance them with jobs to curb unemployment”

His comments come on the back of  flag bearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama’s promise to a policy to support struggling students by scraping fees for first-year university students during the NDC Youth Manifesto launch in Accra on Monday, 12th August 2024.
