A school of ministry and retreat centre which seeks to encourage laymen with the spiritual call to do the work of the Lord has been opened at Dawhenya AbbeyKopey in Tema.
The founder of Jesus Power School Of Ministry and Retreat Centre, Apostle Bismark Osei Akomeah, who also doubles as the Senior Pastor Assemblies of God Church Columbus Ohio, USA, speaking at the commissioning said the main aim for setting up the facility was to give back to the society and the country.
He explained that the new facility has a male and a female dormitory which can accommodate 300 people, 18 executive rooms, VVIP rooms, a sanctuary which houses over 1,200 people willing to hold churches, prayer conferences, retreats and wedding ceremonies.
Present at the event to commission the project was Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, who described Apostle Bismark Akomeah as selfless and an outstanding servant who has dedicated his life to the cause of God’s work.
Pastor Wengham praised him for the wonderful infrastructure he’s put up for the work of the Lord.
As part of activities to mark the commissioning of the facility, a free health screening for residents in and around AbbeyKopey was organized. Apostle Bismark Akomeah sheds more light on the medical outreach.
“Many of our people living in this deprived areas cannot afford to go to the hospital. God put in my heart some years ago to start a ministry called cold water foundation where we come in to the remote areas in Africa to give medial screening to people who are going through challenges, who cannot afford medical treatment and give them free medication and also pay for their hospital bills” he explained
