13th African games has created 4,000 jobs for Ghanaians- Mustapha Yusif

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yusif has disclosed that the 13th African Games which is set to be hosted by Ghana has created not less than 4,000 job opportunities for Ghanaians.

He made this known at a media seminar organized by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the African Games in Accra on Thursday February 22, 2024.

He stated that Ghana stands to benefit immensely from hosting the tournament which is scheduled to take place from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23, 2024

”On the socio-economic front, the games will contribute to boosting commerce, transportation and also tourism. From the time we won the bid to host the event, Accra 2023 has created a number of jobs for many Ghanaians; that is from the construction stage, we’ve engaged not less than 4,000 Ghanaians” he stated
