Nana Kwame Effah a Journalist who resides in Dome-Kwabenya in the Ga East Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region has hinted that prostitution and noise making are on the rise in the area.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUNSEM hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, Nana Kwame Effah explained that, ‘the practice has gotten out of hand and believed that something needs to be done to save the situation but the Ga East Municipal Assembly and the Chief Executive, Elizabeth Kaki Mann has turn death ears on the situation.
He lamented that girls as young as 12 years from neighboring countries in the area had taken to prostitution.
He also explained that some pubs in the area operate on loud sound from the afternoon till dawn without considering the effect on the residents.
He stressed that some of the residents confronted the pub operators to jaw-jaw but the operator told them that, they are tenants and are doing their business and nobody could stop them.
He said the issue has been reported to the Ga East Municipal Assembly but nothing has been done about it.
