Former Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr. Bernard Anbataayela Mornah has said President Akufo Addo has not shown leadership at all on the issue of LGBTQI+ in the country.
Mr. Bernard Mornad in an interview with Nana Yaw Abrampa on Plan B Fm morning show NKOSUONSEM, has stated that President Akufo Addo has not shown leadership on the LGBTQI+ issue in the country.
He claims Nana Addo has been inconsistent on LGBTQI+ issues.
According to him, the president of the Republic should make it clear that
“homosexuality indeed remains a criminal offense in Ghana, making reference to Section 104 of the Ghanaian Criminal Code of 1960 which criminalizes consensual same-sex sexual acts between persons of the same gender.”
He continued that, the president must be bold as a leader who knows the norms and traditions of his country and people and kick against LGBTQI+.
