The Deputy Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Juaben Constituency of the Ashanti Region has been crashed to death in a gory accident at Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The 36-year-old Opoku was knocked down by a speeding vehicle while trying to overtake another vehicle while on his way from Juaben to Konongo.
A brother of the deceased, Ebenezer Opoku who spoke to GhanaNewsPage.Comsaid the father of three has been riding the motorcycle which is the property of the NDC for about four years now.
“I don’t remember the last time he sat in a vehicle while going to Konongo, he has always been riding the motor…,” he said.
The late Opoku was also a Cocoa merchant in the are and was known more the party activities.
