The Black Stars of Ghana played against Chile in the ongoing Kirin cup happening in Japan. Match ended with Ghana winning 3-1 on penalties.
Coach Otto Addo prior to the game against Chile made five important changes as compared to the squad he used to face Japan in the first match.
Manaf Nurudeen replaced Ati-Zigi in post. Japan beat Ghana by four goals to one with Ati-Zigi in the post. Dede Ayew started with Jordan Ayew coming in as a substitute in the second half.
The black stars played well in both halves. Benjamin Tetteh was able to hit the goal post twice for Ghana. Alidu Saidu got a red card after a reckless tackle.
Mubarak Wakaso also got a red card for exchanging words with the referee. In the end, the goalkeeper of Ghana,
Abdul Manaf was the hero of the day as he saved two penalties to secure Ghana the win over Chile. Ghana won a bronze medal in the tournament.
