Traditional Priest Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Tilapia

A 42-year-old traditional priest identified as Natervi and his messenger Francis Wormernu aka Taller, 47 are currently in the grip of the Akuse police for allegedly stealing tilapia at Kpong in the Lower Manya Krobo municipality.

The two were allegedly caught by the owner of the farm, Dr. Jerryson Gidisu who is the President of Kings and Queens Group of Companies late Monday night at about 10:30 Pm.

The Police have confirmed the story saying the issue was currently under investigation.

Inspector Ayittey disclosed that the two are assisting the police with the investigation, and are likely to appear before the court within the week.

He said the two claimed ownership of the net reportedly used for the operation.

However, they gave denied casting the net into the pond.
