The Ghana Police Service quest to ensure that Ghanaians remain law abiding, especially persons among the entertainment industry does not seem to end anytime soon, as it has arrested and detained Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong who is popularly known as Medikal.
The rapper was arrested for yesterday, Thursday, October 21, 2021 for brandishing a gun in a video which has since gone viral on social media.
Medikal’s wife, Fella Makafui, according to a Plan-B FM’s source, looked troubled as she was seen at the Accra Regional Police Command charge office where her husband was processed before subsequently detained for the aforementioned allege crime.
Medikal’s arrest brings to the number of celebrities who have been arrested by the police, to two within a period of three days.
According to the source, Medikal who was earlier yesterday at an Accra Circuit Court to throw his support for his friend, Shatta Wale, who himself is in police custody for feigning gun attack on him, was arrested and brought to the station by a team of police men.
Medikal was subsequently processed at the charge office after which he was detained and is currently in an undisclosed location in police custody.
A lawyer, Jerry Avenogbor, believe to be representing Shatta Wale was seen at the Greater Accra Regional Police Command and it was not clear if he was there to also represent Medikal in the latest arrest.
