The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has said that it has commenced investigations into the disappearance of the Ashanti region branch of Lands Commission staffer, Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko.

Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko’s husband lodged complaint with the National Police Headquarters after she failed to return home several hours after the usual time she always return home back from work. The situation compelled the police to initiate an investigation into her disappearance.

News of her disappearance went viral on social media after her “Missing Person” notices were posted on several social media platforms. She is alleged to have been picked up from work, together with a colleague by some unidentified persons to evaluate land at an unnamed location.

Giving an update on her Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko’s disappearance, the Ghana Police Service in a press release on Monday, September 6, 2021, said “The Lands Commission did not assign Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko on any official work, neither was she assigned with any colleague to do any work leading to her disappearance”.

The police release continued that that “no other staff of the Commission or any other person linked to Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko has been declared missing or found dead”.

“A 24-hour team is currently working on this case and other related cases,” the release further stated.

According to the Police, it has also engaged a Clinical Psychologist to provide support to the family of Mrs Amoah-Darko and her colleagues at the Lands Commission.
