2024 Elections: Avoid money and vote for competent and capable leaders – NCCE to Ghanaians

2024 Elections: Avoid money and vote for competent and capable leaders – NCCE to Ghanaians
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Metro Director of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Tema Metro, Gifty Agyeiwaa Badu has urged electorates to avoid taking money from people seeking for political power and choose competent and capable leaders in the upcoming elections.

In a discussion on Plan B FM’s ‘Nyansapo Fie’ hosted by Nana Asabea on Friday, 6 September 2024, Mrs. Agyeiwaa made it clear that, some people seeking for leadership positions sometimes influence electorates with money so that they vote for them.

“Don’t fall for money, choose competent and capable leaders. Avoid selling your votes to politicians seeking for power. That amount of money can’t cater for you in your entire life” she noted.

Ghanaians are not ready to go backwards. That money will be retrieved from budget allocated for developmental projects after they have won power. Let us all exercise our Civic right in the upcoming general election and also ignore money, then choose someone with leadership qualities, competencies and capabilities” she added.
