Your love affair with an EC director nearly sparked war – Gbande flays NPP PC

Your love affair with an EC director nearly sparked war – Gbande flays NPP PC

The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande has come hard at the parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party in the Ahafo Ano North constituency accusing him of orchestrating a needless clash between electorates and the military in the just-ended elections.

Recounting incidents that resulted in the clash, Mustapha narrated that the candidate Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh called in the soldiers on the advice of the district director of the Electoral Commission whom he alleged is in an amorous relationship with Prempeh.

“In Tepa, the Electoral Officer was in a sexual relation with the candidate Prempeh. His girlfriend told him to call for soldiers claiming tensions were rising.

“I spoke to the GOC who was complaining that our boys were disturbing and agreed that he sends the military in to bring calm. So it’s either Prempeh deceived GOC to deceive me or Prempeh convinced GOC and I was deceived,” he explained.

He also disclosed that another clash erupted at the district capital Tepa after people found that Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh who is also the Director General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) had hoarded relief items in a warehouse on the blind side of the state.

] Prempeh relocated NADMO warehouse to his private warehouse in Tepa. That started another scuffle in the town.

He contended that the causes of the civilian – military clash, had nothing to do with angry youth nor politics but was precipitated by the sexual pleasures of two lovebirds.
