World Environment Day should be declared operation clean your frontage – Chief Inspector Morgan

Chief Inspector Morgan with the Tema Community 2 District Police Command has said that yesterday June 5, 2023 which which was declared as World Environmental Day should have been rather declared operation clean your fontage for citizens to keep their surroundings clean to protect themselves as we observe world environment day.

Speaking on Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM with Nana Yaw Abrompah, Chief Inspector Morgan states that, filth has taken over our surroundings which needs urgent measures to eradicate the situation

“Gutters are choked with rubbish because it floods any time it rains. Indiscriminate dumping of refuse has become the habit of some individuals. Authorities must sit up and put measures in place to curb the the situation or liaise with the police to bring sanity to our environment and surroundings” he stated

He added that, there are also serious issues that needs to be look at,

“Faded road markings,  is also one of the major cause of accidents on our roads, when driving you can see some road signs covered by weeds hindering clear vision and understanding which is also causing accident, so if the authorities can take this issue up it will be good”. He added

He pleaded with the authorities to put some measures in place to check these menace.
