Wa: Dr. Hilla Limann Tech. University ‘Fires’ 33 Students

The Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University has dismissed 28 First Year Students of Dispensing Technology Department of the Institution, One First Year Student of Building Technology Department and 3 Continuing Students of of Building Technology Department over Unsatisfactory Performance.

The Decision was arrived at in a letter Signed by Madam Hawa Awuro Sam, Acting Director of Academic Affairs, after a Board meeting held by the University on the 14th of December 2023.

The Affected students had several referrals and obtained a CGPA below 1.5 after their Examinations.

LIST OF STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN FOR POOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE – 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

At an Emergency Executive Committee Meeting held on Thursday, 14″ December. 2023. the

consolidated examination results for the 2022/2023 academic year were discussed.

During the review, it was observed that some students had their CGPA below 1. 50 with more than four (4) referrals. Based on the above, the following students have been withdrawn from their programme of study with immediate effect. By this notice, their names shall be expunged from the register of students of the university.

HoDs are kindly requested to take the necessary steps to expunge the names of these students from the students list in their department. Note: The 2023/2024 admissions are still on-going and any student can re-apply to be admitted if he/she is interested. Please, find attached the list of students.
