Kwabena Agyei, a vote-them-out campaigner who also doubles as the leader of NPP Youth in the Community has threatened to demonstrate against the Ashanti regional chairman Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi and some media personalities like Captain Smart over the the alleged poisoning of the late Ejusu member of parliamenta and duputy finance minister John Kumah.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Kwabena Agyei said during a live TV program, Captain Smart claimed that the Deputy Finance Minister, who died on Thursday, March 7, 2024, had been severely affected by food poisoning.

He also suggested that Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was another potential target and how some workers at Chairman Wontumi’s radio station are publicly explaining the death of the deputy minister raises concerns that needs to be probed by the police.

He said they preparing to petition the IGP, the Media Commission, and the hierarchy of the New Patriotic Party NPP to take on the issue.

Meanwhile, the widow of John Kumah, the late Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu has stated that her husband did not die from food poisoning, contrary to circulating reports.

Instead, she clarified that he courageously battled a severe illness for over a year.

Apostle Lilian Kumah said her late husband had been battling with a terminal disease for nearly a year now since it was discovered by his doctors in Germany and that is what her husband succumbed to on Thursday, 7 March 2024, and not food poisoning.
