A first-year student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has allegedly committed suicide after discovering that his partner had been unfaithful.

Reports indicate that the deceased hanged himself on Wednesday, April 16, following his discovery.

According to eyewitness accounts, the young man collapsed after unexpectedly finding his girlfriend in an intimate situation with another person at GUSSS Hall Two, a residence on campus.

The emotional distress from the discovery is believed to have incited his decision.

The body has since been taken into the custody of the Winneba Police for further investigation.
