Rockson Yamag, 20, and Theophilus Kusi, 22, has been appended by the youths of Akwatia after the two were suspected of planning to murder a student this afternoon. Rockson, looking left and right like a thief waiting to steal something, gave the go-head to his partner Theophilus who came out of a bush near Akwatia Presby park.

Theophilus, looking left and right, check if someone was coming before going back into the bush. Rockson followed the footsteps of Theophilus and together, they went back into the bush.

The two, in the bush, were about to allegedly murder a 10-year-old student when Alhassan Fuseini, a farmer caught them on the spot. Alhassan, standing at the Akwatia Presbyterian park, was looking for his house keys when he saw Rockson and Theophilus behaving like thieves.

They were going to kill him if I hadn’t got hold of them. The boy was laid on the grass while a bottle and a blade were there with them. They were going to use the blade to slit his throat and use the bottle to drain his blood if I hadn’t got there, Alhassan Fuseini said to the Akwatia police after the incident.

The two, Rockson and Theophilus, were about to allegedly slit the throat of a 10-year-old student of Akwatia Presbyterian School when Alhassan caught them. Alhassan according to his narration, became suspicious of Rockson and Theophilus when they kept looking around.

Their actions made me sense something bad and truly, they were about to do something bad when I got them, Alhassan added. The two suspects had denied trying to kill the 10-year-old student (name withheld) but had agreed on taking the 10-year-old student into the bush.

We were looking for scraps and he told us he knows where some were. He was leading the way when he suddenly fell down. I came to the road to look for help but I didn’t get anyone. We were not going to kill him. He was showing us where the scraps were, Theophilus, right, said after they were handed to the Akwatia police this afternoon.

The two has been taken to the Akwatia Police station while the 10-year-old boy has been taken to the St. Dominic Hospital in Akwatia for treatment
