According to the video shared by GHOne TV on Monday, a gruesome incident has shocked the community in Takoradi region, as the body of a university lecturer was found in the backseat of his car with his eyes gouged out.

The victim, identified as a respected lecturer at a local university, was discovered by passersby who noticed the vehicle parked in an unusual spot and became suspicious. Authorities are now investigating the disturbing circumstances surrounding his death.

According to eyewitnesses, the lecturer’s car was parked by the roadside for an extended period, which caught the attention of local residents.

“At first, we thought it was just another parked car, but when it stayed there for hours with no sign of the driver, we became concerned,” one resident stated.

Police were then alerted and, upon arrival, found the lecturer’s lifeless body in the backseat with visible signs of mutilation.

Police sources have confirmed the lecturer’s eyes were gouged out, a detail that has added to the horror of the crime. Investigators believe the nature of the injuries suggests a targeted attack, but they are still gathering evidence to determine the motive behind the murder.

A police spokesperson noted, “This is a particularly brutal case, and we are taking every step necessary to find those responsible. We urge the public to come forward if they have any information that could help us in our investigation.”

The lecturer’s family and colleagues are devastated by the news. Known for his dedication to education and his students, he was respected both on and off campus.

Colleagues have expressed their shock, with one stating,

“He was a kind person, always ready to help his students and friends. It’s hard to believe anyone would want to harm him like this.”
