The Electricity Company of Ghana, Tema Region is set to embark on a massive disconnection exercise in a bid to mobilize revenue.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Madam Sekyiwaa speaking on Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM, said the exercise will end next month and she urged the general public especially those in Tema region to settle all their arrears.

She also cautioned persons who have been connected to the national grid illegally to desist from the act before they get arrested.

She said the strategy, therefore, is to take the public by storm, and those who refuse to settle their bills will face the full rigors of the law.

Ahead of this exercise, The PRO hinted that they will tour all the operational areas of ECG to sensitize their staff on how to go about the mobilization exercise.

She also reminded the staff of  ECG that the company is a business entity and not a charitable organization.

It is expected that at the end of the exercise, 100% of the debt would be recovered.
