Scores of Residents at Community 1, 5, and 6 taxi rank in the Tema Metropolitan Assembly on Monday 16, 2023 expressed worry over the deplorable state of the sewage system that got burst making  living conditions unbearable which was announced on Plan B FM morning show on Monday 16th October 2023.

Some residents and businesses complained that the sewage system has created environmental unfriendliness.

Speaking to one businesswoman Maa Lizzy on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, she confirmed that the burst sewage line and spillage have been fixed by Tema Metropolitan Assembly TMA but the gutters around the sewage got stuck after yesterday’s rains but it has also been fixed this morning.

She said the spillage and blockages of the sewage lines are as a result of dumping of garbage into the gutters by some individuals but believes that if strict measures are put in place by TMA to fight the menace it would help reduce the situation, she added.
