Teachers must watch for signs of pretence among pupils — Abrema May

Teachers must watch for signs of pretence among pupils — Abrema May

Abrema May has urged teachers to pay close attention to pupils’ behaviour, including their eye contact and responses, to identify when they may be pretending to understand lessons.

Speaking on Nyansapo Fie on Plan B FM, hosted by Akosua Gyamfua, Abrema May explained that some children may pretend to understand what is being taught to please their teachers or avoid being questioned further.

She encouraged teachers to monitor such behaviour and provide the necessary support to pupils who may be struggling to understand lessons.

According to her, teachers play an important role in shaping the destinies of children, making it necessary for them to identify and address challenges that could affect pupils’ learning and development.

Touching on pretence in churches, Abrema May noted that churches bring together people from different backgrounds and with different personalities.

She urged pastors and church members to recognise that no one is perfect and to exercise patience towards individuals who may be dealing with personal challenges.

She added that some people may need help rather than judgment and encouraged churches to create an environment where individuals can receive the support they need.
