Rev. Banson advises workers on how to handle workplace frame-ups

Rev. Michael Banson urges caution in dealing with overly ambitious individuals

Workers who become victims of false accusations and workplace sabotage have been advised to remain calm, act wisely, and rely on facts rather than emotions when defending themselves.

Speaking on Nyansapo Fie on Plan B FM with host Akosua Gyamfua, guest Rev. Banson discussed the growing problem of employees being deliberately framed by colleagues driven by jealousy, competition, or a desire to protect their own interests.

According to Rev. Banson, workplace frame-ups are rarely spontaneous. He explained that those behind such schemes often spend time observing their targets, gathering information, and carefully planning how to tarnish a colleague’s reputation or force them out of their position.

He noted that the emotional impact on victims can be severe, with many experiencing stress, discouragement, and even considering resigning from jobs they once enjoyed.

Rev. Banson also identified office gossip as one of the major factors that fuel workplace sabotage. He urged employers, managers, and supervisors to discourage rumours and unhealthy discussions among staff, stressing that leaders must create a professional environment where falsehood and backbiting are not tolerated.

He further encouraged employees to protect themselves by exercising discretion in their interactions with colleagues. According to him, personal information shared casually at work can easily be twisted and used against someone during disputes or investigations.

Rev. Banson advised anyone facing false allegations to remain composed, cooperate with investigations, speak truthfully, and avoid reacting out of anger. He added that seeking guidance from the Human Resources department or legal professionals where necessary can help protect one’s rights and reputation.

He concluded that responding with wisdom, professionalism, and integrity remains the best way to overcome workplace sabotage and preserve one’s credibility.
