President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), a premier global forum on international security policy.

As the Chairperson of the Tana Forum, Mahama will lead a Tana/MSC side event on “Deepening Global Fragmentation: Implications for Africa’s Peace and Security.”

Additionally, he will serve as a panellist during the Leaders Segment, following the official opening of the conference by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

His session will focus on “Towards a Stronger United Nations in a Fragmented World.”

The Munich Security Conference convenes global leaders, including heads of state, defence and foreign ministers, academics, and business leaders, to discuss pressing security challenges worldwide.

During his stay in Munich, President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral meetings with fellow heads of state and representatives from various international organisations.

Following the MSC, he will travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU).

Accompanying the president to Germany are: Prosper Bani, National Security Adviser Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Presidential Adviser Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications
