Rev Dr Emmanuel Aning Jnr, Head Pastor of Doxa Citadel and General Secretary of the Shepherd to Shepherd Network Clergy, has urged his fellow clergymen to avoid exhibiting regal behaviour in God’s presence.
In an interview on Plan B FM’s social and lifestyle programme, “Nyansapɔ Fie”, hosted by Nana Asabea, Rev Dr Aning Jnr emphasised that God values punctuality in worship. “God dispatches His angels 15 minutes prior to worship to bless those who arrive on time,” he revealed.
Rev Dr Aning Jnr stressed that clergy should commence services promptly, rather than waiting for a full chapel. “We must wait in God’s presence, not vice versa,” he said. “Clergy should demonstrate humility by being disciplined and good time managers.”
He added, “A disciplined minister sets an example for their congregation to follow. Similarly, in marriage ceremonies, it is unacceptable for the groom to keep the bride waiting for hours.”
Rev Dr Aning Jnr concluded, “Our concept of time differs from God’s, yet He respects our schedules. Ministers should prioritise time-disciplined individuals who are trained and assured of their place in heaven, rather than focusing solely on numbers and figures.”
