The National Service Authority has announced the release of postings for 18,416 trained teachers for the 2026/27 national service year.

In a press statement dated April 22, 2026, the Authority said the postings cover eligible graduates from accredited Colleges of Education who have successfully completed their studies.

All affected candidates have been directed to visit the Authority’s official website to check their placements and proceed with the required regional validation process. According to the statement, the national service period for the newly posted teachers will officially begin on May 4, 2026.

The NSA also indicated that the regional validation exercise starts on April 22, 2026, and will end on May 15, 2026. Prospective personnel are therefore urged to complete the validation within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any complications with their enrolment.

The Authority further reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), all Ghanaian citizens aged 18 and above who have completed accredited tertiary institutions—including universities and Colleges of Education—are legally required to undertake national service.

The statement, signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient mobilisation process for all eligible graduates.
