The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region has suspended 17 more members, raising the total number of suspensions in the region to 23.
This development follows the earlier suspension of six executives from the Pusiga Constituency. The latest round of suspensions affects 16 current and former executives from the Tempane Constituency, along with one member from the Builsa South Constituency.
Speaking to in an interview, Jambeidu Ibrahim, a suspended member from Tempane, alleged that their removal was orchestrated by Joseph Kpemka, the former Deputy Attorney General and NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
