NPP Ejisu polling agents chase party executives for their money

NPP Electoral Area Coordinators In Agona West Constituency Call For Investigations Into Destruction Of Party Register
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Polling agents for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu constituency have stormed the party’s office, demanding their unpaid allowances for election day duties.

In a video circulating online, the frustrated agents expressed anger at the party executives, accusing them of withholding their payments due to the NPP’s defeat in the just-ended presidential election.

A woman speaking on behalf of the agents said they were promised payment for their work at the polling stations but have yet to receive it. “We worked as polling agents for the party under an agreement that we would be paid after the election. Now, they’re saying we won’t get the money because the party lost,” she said.

The agents vowed not to leave the constituency office until their grievances were addressed.

The situation has drawn public attention, with many questioning the party’s handling of internal affairs following its loss. As tensions rise, calls have been made for the party leadership to resolve the issue promptly to maintain unity among its members.
