Nii Agbeshie Laryea Community of the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have threaten  to demonstrate if their demands are not meant.

The proposed demonstration is scheduled for 3rd August 2024. The protest is to express their deepest concerns and disappointments regarding the deplorable nature of their roads.

“As concerned residents in the community, we find these matters to be of significant importance and believe it deserves immediate attention. Our roads are in deplorable state which makes it difficult for both drivers and commuters when it rains. A good number of landowners are not not able to develop their lands due to the activities of land guards” according to residents

Reacting to this on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’  with Ohene Kinnah convener for the proposed demonstration, Mr. Simon Ashiabi said that , all roads leading to Nii Agbeshie Laryea Community are in a deplorable state, the activities of land guards is also preventing landowners from developmental projects in the community and the attack on residents by armed robbers is on the rise making it difficult for residents leaving home at dawn for commercial activities.

“Residents are now living in fear and panic in the community. We humbly call for the intervention of government officials (MCE, MP, Reginal Minister and the Government body) else we are going to demonstrate and EC should not bring any ballot box to the community on December 7th because we are not going to vote if our demands are not meant” he stated.
