According to him, it is very important for the team to find a way to work closely with the President to nudge him to turn things around for the better while there is still some time to the 2024 elections.
.He said even though several factors including the case of generational balance, regional balance and party work experience are working in the favour of this new crop of executives, should the President refuse to cooperate with them, they would be rendered useless.
.The people are not angry with the elected officials, they’re angry with the government and so that’s where the attention should be.
.People are very angry, and when people are very angry you need kind words, you need to be spoken to.”
He noted that people who had in previous times calmed party supporters and garnered sympathy for the party have today lost their credibility and fallen out with the people thus the only option left was to get the government to produce results within the remaining time if they intend to break the eight.
“But the people who are supposed to speak to them like Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu have no credibility so they will not listen to them at all, that is the problem
So yes, they must work very hard, but as I said, they’d have to find a way to get the President to listen to them to turn things around, otherwise it does not matter how fine they look they will fail,” he said.
