The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has directed members and aspirants participating in its ongoing party reorganisation to remove or adjust campaign posters and banners that do not comply with new guidelines, giving them five days to meet the requirements.
In a press release dated Friday, October 9, 2026, the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) announced that campaign posters and banners must not exceed five feet in width and eight feet in height.
The committee also directed that campaign posters and banners be displayed only at constituency offices, regional offices and designated election grounds.
The directive follows concerns raised by the FEC over the mounting of oversized campaign materials at various locations across the country during the party’s ongoing reorganisation.
According to the statement, the committee deliberated on the matter at a meeting held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, emphasising the need to maintain order and discipline while ensuring a level playing field for all aspirants.
The FEC further stressed that the NDC, as the governing party, must lead by example through modesty and restraint, avoiding displays of extravagance that could contradict its values and the expectations of Ghanaians.
Members and aspirants whose campaign posters and banners do not meet the new requirements have been given five days, effective October 10, 2026, to take the necessary steps to comply.
The committee warned that any deliberate disregard for the directive would attract disciplinary action in accordance with the party’s Constitution, Electoral Guidelines and other applicable directives.
The statement was signed by the party’s General Secretary, Hon. Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, who called on members and aspirants to cooperate fully in upholding the new rules.
