NDC Fires Back: Afenyo Markin’s NIB Comments A Clever Distraction from ECG Container Saga

NDC Fires Back: Afenyo Markin’s NIB Comments A Clever Distraction from ECG Container Saga
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

King Etse, a member of the NDC Communication team for Kpone Katamanso Constituency, has leveled accusations against Afenyo Markin, alleging that his comments on the NIB raid are a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the ongoing ECG container controversy.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkɔsoɔnsɛm show with host Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, King Etse claimed that Markin’s remarks on the NIB raid are a calculated move to shift focus away from the core issues surrounding the ECG container saga.

King Etse is calling for a comprehensive investigation into the matter, citing concerns that the funds generated from the alleged sale of the containers may have been misappropriated for personal gain. He stressed the need for those implicated to be held accountable and prosecuted to ensure transparency and accountability, serving as a warning to others.

The NDC is pushing for key stakeholders to be questioned, including Samuel Dubik Mahama, the former Managing Director of ECG, Hon. Alexander Afenyo Kwamena Markin, the Board Chairman of ECG, and the Ministry of Energy.

This development comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding the ECG container saga, with the NDC demanding answers and action from the government.
