The nation will on Monday, October 20, 2025, gather at the University of Ghana Sports Complex Park to commemorate the 40th day of the passing of Apostle Emeritus Ing Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the revered industrialist, innovator, farmer, herbalist and spiritual leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.
The solemn occasion, expected to draw thousands of mourners, will reflect on the extraordinary life of a man whose exploits in industry, agriculture, technology, and spirituality have left an indelible mark on Ghana’s growth and development.
From pioneering locally manufactured vehicles and machinery to introducing advanced agricultural practices and nurturing generations of inventors, Apostle Safo stood as a symbol of possibility and self-reliance.
Beyond his industrial ingenuity, his spiritual leadership in Kristo Asafo inspired countless souls, fostering discipline, community and a deep sense of faith.
The 40th day commemoration will attract high-profile dignitaries, including the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II the President of the Republic, former Presidents, a former Vice President, Members of Parliament, traditional rulers, and captains of industry.
They will join Sarah Adwoa Safo and her siblings, the Aduana Family of Essumangya, Asantemanso, the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana and the wider public to honor a life that transcended personal achievement to shape national destiny.
Proceedings begin at 8:00 a.m. with prayers, hymns, and tributes, and are expected to continue until 6:00 p.m.
