The Ministry of Health has announced that the District Health Information Management System (DHIMS), which experienced a temporary disruption, has been successfully restored and is now fully operational.

In a press release issued on Friday, November 6, 2026, the Ministry said the system, managed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS), supports the collation and management of health information at the district level.

The Ministry also clarified that the Ghana Health Information Management System (GHIMS), used by hospitals to manage patient and medical records, remained operational throughout the disruption and was not affected.

It expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the country’s digital health systems to improve efficiency, data management and healthcare delivery.
