Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, Minister of Health, which was copied to all regional directors and the Ghana Health Service, the Health Ministry noted that as part of measures to protect health workers from COVID-19 infection, the Ministry has initiated stages of phases of implementation of vaccination for all staff across the country.

The statement continued that the initial phase targeted healthcare workers in 43 districts of the most endemic regions of the country which started on March 2, 2021 and is still ongoing.

As part of the general vaccination of all health workers in the other districts, the next phase of the exercise will start next week which is expected to cover all the other districts and regions not captured in the first phase.

The Ministry therefore assured the general public that there are currently enough vaccines to cover clinical and non-clinical health staff in all parts of the country.

Concluding the Ministry advised all health workers to exercise restrain and wait for their turn assuring that they would be attended to.
