Muhammad Hussain Acquah, a renowned educator and religious leader, Headteacher of T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School in Tema and National Preaching Secretary of Ansarullah, Ghana, has advised against choosing marriage as a quick fix to loneliness and adultery, emphasising that it is not a remedy.
In a candid interview on Plan B FM’s Nyansapɔ Fie show, hosted by Nana Asabea, Acquah cautioned against viewing marriage as a solution to loneliness and adultery. He emphasised that hasty decisions can exacerbate problems rather than solve them. According to Acquah, love in marriages begins to dwindle when care diminishes, and spouses must recognise that without honesty, love is not joyful.
He identified common causes of disappointment in relationships, including unmet emotional needs, feeling unheard or unseen, and lack of intimacy.
Acquah’s warnings were echoed by Prophet Isaac Asante, Headpastor of Rema Prayer Ministry, who referenced Deuteronomy 30:19, warning against making decisions under duress. “Hasty decisions are killers,” he stressed, citing motivation, fear, and satisfaction as potential pitfalls.
By emphasising the importance of careful consideration, Prophet Asante underscored the need for thoughtful decision-making in relationships and life’s critical choices.
