A man killed his first wife, cut the body into parts, roasted it and ate it in other to marry a second wife because the first wife is not in favor of the marriage.

Reports says the accused Mauro Sampietri, 59, Brazilian had fallen in love with another woman. He was ready to go to any extent to get her so he brutally killed his wife, Claudette Sampietri who became an obstacle in his way.

Mauro murdered the wife, cuts the body parts into pieces, roasted it in the furnace and decorated it in a plate. When the police came he tasted the wife’ s meat so the police will not find any concrete evidence against him so he could live happily with the new wife.

However when Claudette Sampietri, the first wife went missing, she was searched for and some of her remains were found near her house after which the police arrested Mauro. He was taken to court and was jailed for 21 years in 2017 but he escaped from prison and wasn’t found.

The police has been searching for him for the past 5 years in Corumba in the West-Central of Brazil State of Mato Grosso do Sul.

One night the traffic police stopped him on the way when he was going to pick up his second wife from the office. He identified himself as an Italian but couldn’t provide any ID to proof that. He was brought to the station where his identify was exposed. The vehicle’s number plate, registration, address and photo were verified.

Mauro Sampietri confessed the crime and was taken to custody after 5 years of absconding.
