A man was tragically shot and killed during a robbery on the Atebubu-Yeji road in the Bono East Region.

The armed assailants targeted passengers in a taxi and a motorbike traveling from Nyumoase, with the attack unfolding in the early hours of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Kobre in the Pru East District.

The robbers made off with valuable items, a sum of money, and the motorbike.

This incident is part of a disturbing rise in robbery cases in the district, with two separate attacks occurring in the past two days, resulting in both loss of life and property.

In light of this latest attack, Abdul-Nasir Dauda, the District Chief Executive of Pru East, assured that his office is taking steps to combat the growing frequency of these violent robberies.
