President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Libreville, Gabon, to participate in the inaugural Libreville International Forum for Innovation and Development.
The high-level gathering brings together Heads of State, government officials, global investors, and technology experts to explore pathways for innovation-driven growth. The forum is being held under the patronage of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and is themed “Political Stability, Business Climate, and Artificial Intelligence: Catalysts for Growth.”
Organisers say the event aims to position Gabon as a regional hub for innovation and a key destination for international investment. It is also being used to inaugurate the newly constructed Omar Bongo Ondimba Congress Centre, which will serve as a venue for future international engagements.
Discussions at the forum are expected to culminate in the “Libreville Declaration,” a document that will outline commitments by participating leaders to strengthen governance, enhance transparency, and promote digital integration across the continent.
President Mahama is expected to use the platform to reiterate his advocacy for stronger collaboration between governments and the private sector as a means of driving inclusive and sustainable development.
The statement was issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.
