LGBTQI+: ‘We Don’t Hate Anybody; Stop The Propaganda’ – Foh Amoaning To Gabby

LGBTQI+: ‘We Don’t Hate Anybody; Stop The Propaganda’ – Foh Amoaning To Gabby
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
Lawyer and the Executive Secretary of the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values, Moses Foh Amoaning has responded to Former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere-Darko in a tweet by the latter that the new anti-gay bill that has been sent to parliament will only lead to Ghana being blacklisted for promoting hate.

Gay+ activities are already illegal in our country. But, we aren’t known to hate. The President has given his word he won’t legalise it. This Bill only serves one purpose: to get Ghana blacklisted for promoting hate! Surely, the promoters of the Bill can’t say they aren’t aware!

— Gabby Otchere-Darko (@GabbyDarko) July 25, 2021

“I will urge my younger brother Gabby; he should donate some of his money to us so we can reform this people he claims we hate. We don’t hate anybody! ; We have created a medical system that is treating these homosexuals. The word ‘hate’ he used in his post is propaganda, it is not true. We love them,” He said on Plan B FM Nkosuo Nsem with Ohene Addo

“Maybe my brother Gabby has not read the bill; we have care and support of victims of such behavior. We have a medical system in our coalition and we have developed a holistic sexual therapy system; we have psychologists, psychiatrics, endocrinologists, councilors and pastors who are willing to help these people. If I tell you the amount of money we have spent since 2013 with our evangelism programs in schools in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service you would be surprised,” he explained.

He further went on to explain the anti-LGBT+ bill in parliament; “The foundation of the bill is to ensure the promotion of proper human sexual right and Ghanaian family values. Everything is in the constitution, Article 34 and Article 39 (1) 2 which defines proper sexual human right and the importance of Ghanaian family values. We have also prohibited certain activities; LGBT is not a human right. They know what they are doing is not a proper thing so they always find themselves wanting anytime they are asked to explain their activity. They run away from their behaviour and consequences and they hide under the expression that they are trying to sanitize their insanitary behavior. It has nothing to do with human right” he remarked

“The third angle of the bill is to bring help and support for victims, even in terms of the prohibition if you confess before the court during the trial you will go through treatment so that custodian punishment will not even work. The other point is that, you have a duty to report such activity and not to lynch victims, which is an offence. So we don’t hate homosexuals, it’s not true” he added.
