Lawyer James Enu donates tools and equipment to support National Apprenticeship Program
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Jones Klutse, Greater Accra Regional Coordinator of the National Apprenticeship Program, has thanked stakeholders for supporting the initiative. Speaking at an event, Klutse expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Tema West, the Municipal Chief Executive, apprentices, and master craftsmen for their participation in the program.

He also acknowledged the role of former President John Mahama in shaping the initiative, emphasizing its importance to Ghana’s development. Klutse cited Switzerland as an example of a country that has leveraged skills training to become a major player in global manufacturing despite lacking natural resources.

Klutse urged participants to take the program seriously, noting that some may not fully appreciate its value now but will eventually realize its benefits. He stressed that the government’s investment in the program is a priority and that stakeholders must work together to ensure its success. He also cautioned against assigning apprentices to personal chores, emphasizing that they should focus on acquiring practical skills.

He further urged apprentices to remain committed and attend training sessions regularly, while advising master craftsmen to provide quality instruction. The program aims to equip Ghanaians with the skills needed to drive economic growth and national development.
