Ghanaian actor, comedian and television personality Kwame Dzokoto has reportedly died after collapsing during a panel discussion on Owass Radio in Tarkwa.
According to preliminary reports, the actor was rushed to a hospital in Tarkwa after collapsing during the discussion but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His reported death is said to have been confirmed by a close source within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the political party with which he is affiliated.
Kwame Dzokoto is widely known for his roles in the popular television series Efiewura and his work on the Edziban television programme. Beyond entertainment, he has also been involved in politics and previously contested the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC.
Further details surrounding the incident, including the cause of his collapse, are yet to emerge.
