Kufuor allowed himself to be manipulated by NPP ‘small boys’ – Solomon Owusu

Kufuor allowed himself to be manipulated by NPP ‘small boys’ – Solomon Owusu

A leading Communication Team Member of the Movement for Change, Solomon Owusu has expressed shock and disappointment at former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s alleged manipulation by “small boys” within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to Solomon Owusu, Kufuor’s recent comments about Dr. Bawumia were not only misleading but also showed ingratitude towards Alan Kojo Kyerematen, who solely supported him during his 2000 election victory with about 70% policies birth by him.

In an interview with Kasapa News, Solomon emphasized that Kufuor’s endorsement of the party’s candidacy has instead opened him up to ridicule over his claims that Dr. Bawumia is the best fit for the party. He noted that Kufuor’s lack of preparation before speaking to the media allowed him to be taken advantage of.

“Everything shows that former President Kuffuor allowed himself to be played by small boys in NPP to do their bidding and it’s evidently clear that he didn’t prepare himself before engaging the media”…he stated.

Owusu criticized Kufuor’s silence on pressing issues such as economic hardship, galamsey’s destruction of farmlands and water bodies, and pension cuts. Instead, Kufuor allegedly peddled lies about someone who failed to manage the country’s economy.

Owusu stated that Kufuor’s actions would ultimately lead Ghanaians to vote massively for Alan Kyerematen, highlighting Kyerematen’s superior political achievements.

Solomon Owusu touted Alan Kyerematen’s outstanding political achievements, asserting that Dr. Bawumia’s credentials don’t come close to 30% of Kyerematen’s impressive accomplishments.

This comes after Former President John Agyekum Kufuor endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, citing his exceptional economic management skills.

In a recent address to journalists on Sunday, November 17, 2024, the former president expressed strong confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to revitalize Ghana’s economy if elected in the upcoming December elections.
