Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler has set reaching the group stage of either the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederation Cup as one of the club’s key medium-term objectives.
Speaking about the club’s ambitions, Tinkler said Kotoko are focused on building a team capable of consistently competing at the highest level of African club football.
“The objective is to reach the group stage of either the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederation Cup in the coming years,” he said.
The South African tactician’s comments reflect the club’s long-term vision of re-establishing itself as a competitive force on the continental stage after recent struggles in CAF inter-club competitions.
Kotoko are preparing for the new season with hopes of challenging for domestic honours while laying the foundation for a successful return to African football.
