A family is demanding justice for their daughter, who was allegedly hacked to death by her 43-year-od fiancée before disappearing. Kenya Railways auditor Faith Mueni.
In the incident, which occurred in the early morning of Saturday, March 26, Harrison Mutisya is alleged to have killed his 35-year-old lover Faith Mueni in a suspected love triangle. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Mueni’s younger sister Lucia said Mutisya was a silent person who kept to himself, making it impossible to know if they had issues in their marriage. However, from the information she gathered, Lucia said the suspect used to tap into the deceased’s phone as he was very insecure. Untill her death, Mueni was an auditor at Kenya Railways. did not speak a lot. We could not even know if they had issues.
From the information I’m getting from friends, he used to tap my sister’s phone. The guy was very insecure. My sister did not consider it a big issue, she would defend him when questioned about the phone tapping issue by her friends. Maybe he had his own tribulations and insecurities that is why she decided to butcher my innocent sister,” said Lucia. Travelling to Machakos On Friday, March 25, Lucia said her sister informed her that she, her husband and her son were travelling to Mutisya’s home in Kalama, Machakos. That night, the couple had supper together at their parent’s house and retired to bed.
Lucia said she shared a message on her family’s WhatsApp group at around 10pm which the deceased responded. However, the following day, the couple did not show up for breakfast at their parents’ house as was the norm. This prompted Mutisya’s mother to check into the couple’s house. She found a baby watching cartoons, but the duo were nowhere to be seen. Later in the evening at 7pm, Lucia said the lady called her mother, informing her that she had not seen her daughter-in-law and her husband since morning and their vehicle was also missing. Lucia said Mutisya’s family gave the detectives contradicting information about the ownership of the panga raising eyebrows. “The DCI asked the family if they knew the panga that had been recovered from the toilet. His mother denied but the father accepted. They might be hiding something,” she said. Mutisya’s family argued that someone entered the couple’s house, killed the lady and abducted their son. However, Mueni’s family questioned how the said kidnapped accessed the family’s panga, spared the man, killed their daughter and locked the door from outside.
