A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kelvin Wayo-Tetteh, has urged Ghanaians to exercise patience with President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, arguing that the government needs sufficient time to implement its policies and deliver on its development promises.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkosuonsem, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, Mr Wayo-Tetteh discussed the government’s development agenda and stressed the need to allow the administration time to translate its policies into tangible results.
He explained that some government initiatives require careful planning, investment and effective implementation before their benefits can be fully realised by the public.
The NDC member also highlighted the importance of strengthening local production and industrial development, noting that factories and production facilities can create employment opportunities, boost economic activity and support the country’s long-term growth.
He further emphasised the need for investment in skills development and technical training to equip workers with the expertise required to meet the demands of modern industries.
Mr Wayo-Tetteh maintained that the government’s performance should be assessed with an understanding that meaningful development takes time, referencing a period of 36 months, or three years, in discussing when progress could become evident.
He urged Ghanaians to remain patient as President Mahama and his administration work towards achieving their development objectives.
