A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), team Samuel Aban says the next NDC government under John Dramani Mahama will prioritize the concerns of Ghanaians by signing the controversial Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill (Anti-LGBTQ+) within its first 100 days in office when elected in the upcoming December elections.

Although Parliament passed the anti-LGBTQ+ bill in February 2024, the bill has faced setbacks, with the President citing his inability to sign it due to a legal challenge.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ with Kofi Sekyi on Thursday May 30, 2024, Samuel Aban maintained that President Akufo-Addo should sign the bill, as the concept of LGBTQ is unacceptable in the country.

“The issue of LGBTQ and others is a very crucial thing to us, not because we love it, but because we hate it. I’m surprised the president hasn’t signed it yet but I can assure all Ghanaians that John Mahama will sign the bill in his first 100 days in office” he stated
